The project team is committed to keeping neighbours and the community informed. Engagement was ongoing throughout the Conceptual Scheme process and included an Open House, along with ongoing dialogue.
Upcoming Engagement
Join JL Developments for a virtual session on the subdivision application for 118 acres in Neighbourhood C. Learn about the project, the land use amendment, and the upcoming development of Phases 1-4.

Past Engagement
On Thursday, January 16, 2025, we held a virtual information session to share more information about a proposed bylaw amendment to the existing residential Land Use Districts for Cochrane Lake Hamlet Neighbourhood ‘C’.
Past Engagement
On Saturday, February 5, 2022, the project team held Community Coffee Chats at Weedon Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The purpose of the these meetings were to:
- Introduce the project team
- Share information on the history of the approved planning policy for the area
- Share the preliminary vision and intent for Neighbourhood C
- Answer questions, collect input to be considered during concept refinement
- Establish future communication methods with the community
Online Survey & What We Heard Report
An online survey was available on the project website until February 14, 2022. A What We Heard report has been prepared, summarizing all questions and feedback received through the coffee chats, online survey and email correspondence with community members. This report will be shared with Rocky View County.

The purpose of the Conceptual Scheme is to provide a comprehensive policy framework to guide land use redesignations and future subdivision applications. A Conceptual Scheme outlines the open space design, servicing and road networks. The Cochrane Lake Hamlet Plan Neighbourhood C Conceptual Scheme will align with the policy intent for the land within the Cochrane North Area Structure Plan.
