The Project

A Conceptual Scheme and Land Use Amendment will enable the development of Neighbourhood C into a contextual residential neighbourhood in accordance with local planning policy and will consider adjacent landowners, community members and future developments in the area.

Guiding Principles

The following principles will guide the concept, design and land use for Neighbourhood C in alignment with the Cochrane North ASP and the Cochrane Lake Hamlet Plan:

Provide a variety of housing options to support a range of lifestyles and lifecycles
Create a strong neighbourhood character, supporting the vision for Cochrane Lake Hamlet as the Community Heart
Create a pedestrian-oriented and walkable neighbourhood with a focus on connected open spaces
Respect the natural features and topography of the land
Ensure appropriate transitions to neighbouring agricultural uses and residents
